Every Sunday from 10am to noon, the 4MRMarket Stage hosts an area musician and invites you to sit awhile and enjoy the music!
After feasting your ears on the local talent, move on to the local produce, pasture raised beef, naturally farmed pork, artisan cheeses, fresh baked breads and pastries, and artisan made crafts and health and beauty products! Also new this week, Capital Food Coaching and their healthy food bars, plus professional nutritional information!
Last chance for Strawberries?
This weekend will likely be the last for seasonal strawberries, so come load up! The terrible rains are bad for ripening strawberries, so whatever is picked in the next few days might be the last crop of the season. Look on the bright side: they'll taste especially sweet knowing they were a fleeting crop this year!
Weekly Concert Series Continues...
This Sunday, we welcome back 4MRMarket Stage veteran Mike Elosh from 10-noon!
Mike Elosh is a roots and folk musician that you've probably heard during his monthly performances at St. Elmo's Coffee Pub.
Mike provides the music from last tour of the 4MRMarket, so check it out to get a sampling of his works and a fun tour of the market!

Composting at 4MRMarket
Bring your (non-animal) food scraps to 4MRMarket in any type of container you choose, or purchase one on-site for a very low fee. You'll be rewarded with a small bag of very fine soil for your gardening needs.

SPREAD THE WORD. Please tell folks about us. And tell folks about some of the great things we're doing. For instance, all SNAP/EBT participants can take advantage of the Inova-sponsored "Double Dollar" program again this year that doubles the first $10 SNAP participants spend at the market. 4MRMarket is the first farmers’ market in Northern Virginia (and still the only) to accept SNAP. And C&T Produce now accepts SFMNP vouchers!
The Four Mile Run Farmers and Artisans Market (Alexandria, Virginia 22305) brings fresh, nutritious food to people of all income levels, provide an opportunity for local artisans and producers of goods to bring their wares to market, strive to reflect the diversity of the community, and improve the quality of life for Arlandria residents and visitors. It is part of an overall vision to expand and improve Four Mile Run park and the surrounding neighborhood.
