The Four Mile Run Farmers & Artisans Market (4MRMarket) will be open every Sunday from 9am until 1pm from April 19th through November in Four Mile Run Park at 4109 Mt Vernon Avenue, Alexandria. (click here for directions)
This Sunday, we will once again match our largest market with 14 vendors on hand, plus the Alexandria Mobile Transit Store!
The bigger news is what every farmers market attendee longs to hear (maybe we're projecting, here). With the official start of fall next week, the fall produce at C&T Produce is beginning to roll in! From now on out through the end of the season, you'll start seeing tasty squash, pumpkins, rutabaga, hearty greens, and so much more!
Get your roasting pans ready and your creamy fall soup recipes out, because things are about to start getting even more delicious.
In other great market news, Whitney's World is back from her trip to Kenya with a fresh haul fair trade baskets and jewelry! Come check out her new offerings.
Bagel-mania!
As a PSA, we feel it necessary to tell all those in search of bagels to get to 4MRMarket early! For here is the situation report for those chewy on the outside, soft on the inside chariots of cream cheesy goodness: week 1, sold out by 9:40; week 2, Chad made twice as many and was sold out by a little after 11am. So if you don't want to be disappointed in your quest for Alexandria's only REAL bagels, get the lead out!
The Vendors!
Here is who you will find at 4MRMarket this weekend!

As always, the concert is free.
All our performers volunteer to share their music with market goers, though they will gladly welcome tips and friendly applause for their craft!

SPREAD THE WORD. Please tell folks about us. And tell folks about some of the great things we're doing. For instance, all SNAP/EBT participants can take advantage of the Inova-sponsored "Double Dollar" program again this year that doubles the first $10 SNAP participants spend at the market. 4MRMarket is the first farmers’ market in Northern Virginia to accept SNAP.
The Four Mile Run Farmers and Artisans Market (Alexandria, Virginia 22305) brings fresh, nutritious food to people of all income levels, provide an opportunity for local artisans and producers of goods to bring their wares to market, strive to reflect the diversity of the community, and improve the quality of life for Arlandria residents and visitors. It is part of an overall vision to expand and improve Four Mile Run park and the surrounding neighborhood.
