Pumpkins? Check. Butternut and acorn squash? Check.
Rutabaga and other sweet, nutty root vegetables? Check.
Kale and other hearty greens? You guessed it: check! Plus so many more tasty items.
Bring out your reusable bags and your compost and enjoy a newcomer to the 4MR Stage: Lindsay Collette. See more about her music stylings below.
You will also find the tasty baked goods from Furloughed Feds at the market and the Local Motion Kiosk that will give you lots of info on becoming more car free and/or improving your commute!

In 2013, Lindsay Collette hit the Virginia music scene as a solo acoustic act. She originally began performing at open mics as a means to meet new people. It was at one of these open mics that she was approached by a local music promoter and encouraged to pursue music. Lindsay has been described as a kind of Indie influenced Janis Joplin, in large part to the vulnerable and soulful quality of her music. Her songs ask listeners to challenge their current lifestyles and the things they choose to value. She also performs with her rock band Punch The Unicorn.

For instance, all SNAP/EBT participants can take advantage of the Inova-sponsored "Double Dollar" program again this year that doubles the first $10 SNAP participants spend at the market. 4MRMarket is the first farmers’ market in Northern Virginia to accept SNAP.
The Four Mile Run Farmers and Artisans Market (Alexandria, Virginia 22305) brings fresh, nutritious food to people of all income levels, provide an opportunity for local artisans and producers of goods to bring their wares to market, strive to reflect the diversity of the community, and improve the quality of life for Arlandria residents and visitors. It is part of an overall vision to expand and improve Four Mile Run park and the surrounding neighborhood.
