4MRMarket Report: BOOK SALE Sunday!

The Four Mile Run Farmers & Artisans Market (4MRMarket) will be open every Sunday from 9am until 1pm from April 19th through November in Four Mile Run Park at 4109 Mt Vernon Avenue, Alexandria. (click here for directions)

The huge book sale at 4MRMarket is back for it's 3rd annual installment! Thanks to the generosity of area residents, we received thousands of books for you to pick through with literary-fueled glee! And with every dollar you spend, you'll be helping not only your brains, but those of area youth. Yes, all proceeds go to the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria!!

So get down to the book sale at 4MRMarket and stay for the bagels, fresh produce, cheese, farm-fresh eggs, homemade soaps, coffee, baked treats (and crepes!), hand-died clothing and fabrics, fine art, crafts, and so much more! And don't miss Mike Elosh on the 4MR stage from 10am - Noon.

Crafts against Leukemia and Lymphoma

If you needed another reason to come on down, C&M&E Crafts will be selling their great up-cycled items by the local trio of 5th graders to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. They raised almost $400 so far at Art on the Avenue. Help them help others this Sunday!

Oh Yeah, and BAGELS ARE BACK
(Washingtonian Approved)

Don't worry Alexandria (and entire DC area, apparently), the bagels are back! Chad is returning this weekend with a fresh write-up from the Washingtonian Magazine in tow. He'll be around for the rest of the season, too. You know what that means: get there early! You should come get in line by 9 or so to be safe. No kidding... he might sell out his 300-400 bagels by 9:30.
